The USA keeps reporting huge numbers of infections and deaths related to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The state of Michigan has recently been dealing with unprecedented numbers of patients hospitalized for COVID. It’s enough to take a look at worldometers.info to learn about the reported pandemic situation from the US: over 50 million infections since the very first outbreak of the virus.
Under such circumstances, it might be a little awkward that one of the governors of the USA now declares the COVID emergency as “over”. Jared Polis, who’s the governor of the state of Colorado, is the man in question. According to Fox News, not only that he sees the COVID emergency as over, but he also rules out another statewide mask mandate for tackling the new Omicron variant.
No excuse for the unvaccinated?
Polis motivated his claims by declaring for Colorado Public Radio:
Everybody had more than enough opportunity to get vaccinated,
Hopefully it’s been at your pharmacy, your grocery store, a bus near you, [or at] big events. At this point, if you haven’t been vaccinated, it’s really your own darn fault.
Surely Polis’ statements will upset some people. He also explained the following, as quoted by the same source:
I don’t want to say that nobody [will get the virus if they’re] vaccinated, but it’s very rare. Just to put it in perspective, of the about 1,400 people hospitalized, less than 200 (or 16%) are vaccinated. And many of them are older or have other conditions. Eighty-four percent of the people in our hospitals are unvaccinated, and they absolutely had every chance to get vaccinated.
Feel free to share your thoughts with us regarding the statements of Jared Polis. Did you have all the chances to get vaccinated but instead choose to ignore them? How do you see the future of the USA regarding the pandemic? The comment section is free to use!
Actually I have reservations that. Individuals with autoimmune system issues are safe to get the jab. Myself high blood pressure COPD blocked corotid artery high anxiety kidney issues mist likely either would kill me I had covid in 2019. Months if different meds to try and at least get me stable. Do the jab. A big fear. I’m not ready to die and shouldn’t be forced to put something in my body that may complicate things and kill me. There are plenty vaccinated that got just as sick or died. And if you don’t get the booster your no longer vaccinated? It’s a personnell decision not saying I don’t care about others but this government has made things worse people fighting against each other’s. So no I won’t get vaccinated and hopefully will stay alive for a long time when they are truly sure the jab won’t cause me harm or kill me then I will but right now no they don’t have enough information to sell me in it and too many lives already taken
Educate yourself on the vaccine all it does is create a template so your immune system can recognize Covid 19 and attach it it does not have anything to do with your
Main genetic material
