Fitbit Fitness Trackers: How to Find Out the Model Fast

Staying in good physical shape and being active at least several times per week are extremely useful activities for anyone’s health. Working out is one of the best things to do in trying to have good overall health, along with eating the right meals and getting enough sleep during the night. All doctors recommend these habits, although there’s no one hundred percent insurance that you won’t suffer from cancer or diabetes at some point in life.

Therefore, if you’re determined to step into the fitness realm to protect your health or just to impress your friends and potential life partners, it’s time to learn a bit about the Fitbit fitness trackers. These wearable devices will keep an eye on your health so that you will get the right information that’s relevant for you very fast. In other words, a Fitbit tracker is able to provide you with information regarding the number of calories you’ve burned, the number of steps you’ve made, your heart rate, your weight, the sleep stages, and more.

Let’s suppose your spouse has bought you a Fitbit as your birthday present, and you’ve never had one before. You obviously need to know the exact model so that you will find more relevant information online about how the device works and what it has to offer. Luckily enough, there is more than just one way to do that, so keep on reading!

Using the Fitbit app

Fitbit devices have their own dedicated app that’s available for anyone who has an Android device or iPhone at home. First and foremost, you obviously need to get the app from either the Google Play Store, meaning Google’s official Android marketplace, or Apple’s App Store. Once you’ve done that, you need to follow these easy steps:

  1. Launch the Fitbit app and choose the profile icon that’s positioned in the top left corner region.
  2. The Fitbit device connected to your account will emerge with the complete model name, so there you have it, problem solved!

If, instead, you want to find the model number of your Fitbit device instead of the model name, you will just have to simply search on Google with the following formula: Fitbit Device Name plus the Model Number.

Check your Fitbit’s product page

Did you know that simply checking the product page of your Fitbit device could help you find out the model? It’s as simple as that! However, you will have to carefully observe the images that appear so that you can say for sure which one is your own Fitbit model. Surely, you can recognize it by the image, although you don’t know the exact model.

Using the Fitbit device

Trying to find out the model number of your Fitbit device by using the device itself is also a good way to solve this little puzzle. You need to keep in mind, however, that the software won’t work in the right way if you don’t have the Fitbit device connected to your smartphone.

  1. Start the Fitbit device and swipe left until you find the apps menu.
  2. Select the Settings menu.
  3. Scroll down until About appears, and choose the option.
  4. A new page will appear, and it has the Regulatory info option. Select it.
  5. Somewhere at the top, the model number should appear.
  6. Enter that model number in the Google search engine, and the model name of your Fitbit shall be revealed to you.

It’s an interesting fact that there are still some people out there who mistake a Fitbit device for a smartwatch. Actually, the two devices are quite different from one another. Both of them are able to keep an eye on a person’s health and physical exercises, but the main difference is that a smartwatch will also send notifications to the user.
