Mars is a common target for scientists, because its’ mystery has always fascinated generations. Every country in the world would like to say that it has conducted successful missions on Mars, especially the ones with great influence on the global policy.

Recently, Russia has announced that it plans to send a spaceship to Mars by next year. The mission is part of a lunar program aiming to explore Mars and compare and get know its’ place into space. The President says that the spaceship sent on Mars will not have any crew on board, but the attention will be heading towards the Moon as well. The satellite is being researched because experts have reasons to believe that they will find water there.

The lunar program is seen as part of Putin’s strategy to win a fourth Presidential term on the election that will happen this Sunday. The Kremlin leader is certain that he will win, despite all arguments coming from opposition. The mission on Mars will happen with support from Elon Musk, the American entrepreneur who founded Tesla. The program implemented by the two associates was called SpaceX. Musk joined this initiative because he considers it an important step for science.

Many of his contesters say that SpaceX is just a sign of how much Putin still wants to be Russia’s President; he is willing to do whatever it takes and form unexpected alliances just for winning. On the other hand, experts admit that SpaceX will be an important step for science, so even if the intention is not as honourable as officially declared, it still has its’ importance for the actual society.
