At the 2018 Detroit International Auto Show, Toyota has presented the new and totally redesigned 2019 Toyota Avalon edition which appeared to be the very definition of luxury and power but without excluding massive improvements in technology integration and safety.
The new Avalon’s design is the first major change Toyota has done to its model since 2013.
The 2019 Toyota Avalon comes with an upgraded engine, adaptive suspensions, and a great care for the modern technologic and safety demands as it is offering integration support for smartwatches, Amazon Alexa-enabled devices, and for the recently launched Apple CarPlay.
2019 Toyota Avalons specs include:
- An upgraded 3.5 liters V6 engine;
- 8-speed automatic transmission;
- Adaptive suspensions with dump control;
- Saftey features including collision avoidance, cruise-control, rear cross-traffic alert, and many others;
- Integration of modern technologies such as Apple’s CarPlay support;
Additionally, the 2019 Toyota Avalon will also come with a Hybrid version with a 2.5 liters in-line-4 hybrid and continuously variable transmission.
Although the SUVs and crossovers in the same price segment are growing in popularity, Toyota Motors is still concentrating more on the sedan segment which is and most probably will remain the most important field for Toyota to activate on.
2018 Toyota Avalon and 2018 Toyota Avalon Hybrid ranked 1st, respectively 2nd, in the Best Large Cars top in the US. It is expected that the 2019 Toyota Avalon model will also rank high.
As for the prices for the new 2019 Toyota Avalon and Toyota Avalon Hybrid, there isn’t any exact information, yet. However, it is expected that the prices for the new models will range in the segment as its predecessors had, but there are some voices saying that the new features and design will increase the price for the new model.
The new design, the premium materials used for building it, the smooth handling, the upgraded powerful V6 engine, and the support for the latest technologies make the 2019 Toyota Avalon model to be an elite vehicle with a very luxurious but yet sporty appearance.
