Elon Musk just explained the fact that the potential danger of artificial intelligence is so great that OpenAI, the most powerful AI company in the world right now, should disclose the reason it fired CEO Sam Altman.
OpenAI announced Altman’s firing Friday, saying only that the company, which makes ChatGPT, “no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading.”

Elon Musk, a former board member of OpenAI, left the company in 2018 due to a conflict of interest with Tesla. He later expressed concerns about the possible negative impact OpenAI’s technology could have on society.
However, it’s important to note that Musk’s own AI company could benefit from the current situation at OpenAI.
One possible reason for Altman’s removal from the company may have been growing tension among the leadership regarding the potential dangers that AI poses to humanity.

The purpose of the team was to ensure that any future versions of GPT-4, the technology that powers ChatGPT, would not be harmful to humanity.
