Just In: Coronavirus Vaccine – Emergency Approval For Use, Issued In Weeks

Experts all over the world are doing their best to come up with a vaccine for the novel coronavirus and there ate also all kinds of viable treatments in the works. But there’s one specific vaccine that has been drawing the attention of all the media worldwide.

Moderna has been making lots of headlines lately due to the vaccine that they’re getting ready by the end of 2020. It’s also essential to mention the fact that the tests have reportedly entered the final phase, and this sparked massive enthusiasm around the world. 

On the other hand, it’s been recently revealed that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said recently that an effective coronavirus vaccine could require multiple doses

“None of the vaccines at this point appear as they’ll work with a single dose,” Gates told CBS News.

Anyway, just the other day another important issue was debated and the price for the vaccine has been disclosed.

The biotech company is seeking to sell the vaccine for around $25-$30 for a dose according to the latest reports coming from the Financial Times.

It’s been also revealed that the vaccine would be delivered as a two-dose course and this means that the complete immunization would cost somewhere between $50 and $60.

FDA could issue emergency use authorization for the vaccine 

CNN just reported that the FDA could be issuing an emergency use authorization for the vaccine. This could be happening in a matter of weeks after a vaccine meets all the necessary requirements.

“We stand ready for using emergency use authorization in an appropriate setting,” Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, which approves vaccines, said during an online event called the Disease Control and Prevention Summit.
