According to some new reports, Óscar Cabrera Adames, a 28 year old professional basketball player from the Dominican Republic, passed away this week after suffering an apparent heart attack while reportedly undergoing a stress test.
Héctor Gómez, a Dominican sports analyst, posted on social media that the stress test was taking place at a medical facility in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
It is thought that the professional basketball player had myocarditis.
Myocarditis is the medical term for heart muscle inflammation.
The disease may weaken the heart and its electrical system, which in turn reduces its overall capacity to pump blood, as per the American Heart Association.
After Cabrera Adames passed away, social media posts started surfacing in which he had claimed that he had contracted the uncommon heart condition as a result of getting two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Cabrera Adames took to his social media platform of choice at the time to say that “I got a damn Myocarditis from taking a f***ing vaccine. (I got 2 doses of Pfizer) And I knew it! Many people warned me. But guess what? It was compulsory or I couldn’t work. I am an international professional athlete and I am playing in Spain. I have no health problem, nothing, not hereditary, no asthma, NOTHING! I suddenly collapsed to the ground in the middle of a match and almost died. I’m still recovering and I’ve had 11 different cardiology tests done and guess? They find nothing.”
During a 2021 Spanish Amateur Basketball League game, Cabrera Adames passed out unexpectedly, this marking the beginning of his declining health.
After fainting during the game, the basketball star was subsequently taken on a stretcher to the hospital.
What exactly is a stress test?
According to the Mayo Clinic, a stress test is intended to demonstrate how the heart works during physical exertion.
Typically, during the test, a machine monitors the electrical activity of the heart after medical workers have attached electrodes to the patient’s chest.
According to accounts, it’s still not clear whether Cabrera Adames’ heart attack was directly related to the stress test or not.
The abrupt passing of this gifted basketball player has stunned the sport’s fans and prompted concerns about the safety of COVID immunizations as well as the efficacy of hospital protocols.
Reacting to a similar case and the growing mistrust in the vaccine, consultant cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra has suggested that the COVID mRNA vaccination that Australian cricket great Shane Warne had received some nine months earlier may have contributed to his tragic death last year as well.
Dr. Malhotra partially stated that “The evidence for common and serious adverse cardiac effects from these jabs is overwhelming, and I have no doubt that a major contributor to the excess deaths we are seeing around the world, including Australia, is because of the COVID mRNA vaccines.”
Of course, at this point in time, nothing is know for sure as far as what really caused the basketball player’s untimely death or the illness that led to it is concerned.
