It’s been just reported that one of the world’s favorite covid vaccine manufacturers is putting covid vaccine production on hold. Check out the reports about this below.
CNBC notes that the only J&J facility that is currently making usable batches of the company’s covid shots has temporarily halted production.
A new report that was released the other day reveals that the Netherlands-based plant has instead focused on making a different, possibly more profitable vaccine aimed at a different virus, The New York Times reported.
It’s also worth noting the fact that the company cited people familiar with the matter.
“The pause in production at the Leiden facility, which began late last year, could reduce the supply of J&J’s Covid vaccine by hundreds of millions of doses, one of those people told the Times.”
J&J spokesperson addresses the issue
J&J spokesman Jake Sargent did not comment on the Times’ article.
On the other hand, he told CNBC in a statement that the company is “focused on ensuring our vaccine is available where people are in need.”
He also said that it is fulfilling its obligations to the international groups trying to boost access to the Covid vaccine.
J&J is continuing to deliver batches of the vaccine materials to sites that bottle and package doses, and “we currently have millions of doses of our Covid-19 vaccine in inventory,” Sargent said.
He continued and revealed the following:
“We are proud of the work of our many industry partners and the collaborations we have developed to produce our Covid-19 vaccine,” he said.

Covid battle in Israel
The news worldwide has been flooded with coronavirus-related issues for more than two years. Most headlines involve vaccines, treatments, and all kinds of terrifying data, more or less accurate or legit.
Few publications have been addressing the importance of a healthy lifestyle during this nightmare which will probably turn out to be the harshest period of our lifetimes.
The Times of Israel notes that scientists revealed the fact that they have gathered the most convincing evidence to date saying that increased vitamin D levels can help COVID-19 patients reduce the risk of serious illness or death.
