Canada Covid News: Alberta To Drop Vaccine Passport Program

Some people in Canada are definitely going to celebrate following the latest news. It’s been just revealed that Alberta will be dropping the vaccine passport program. Check out the available details below.

Disclose TV revealed the following:

While a lot of people hopped on Twitter to celebrate, some are not in a hurry yet. A follower dropped this message: “@jkenney
is not ending anything. If he wanted to end anything, he would End the emergency order. Then I would believe he was going in the right direction. Not now. Everything will stay in place as it is today nothing will change. I don’t get how you can celebrate already.”

Someone else on the other hand wrote this: “Fantastic news. Well done Premier Jason Kenny. My family in Calgary are planning on eating out tomorrow night (with vaccine passports now scrapped). As well as kids not required to wear masks in schools. Saskatchewan, Quebec lifting measure on March 14.”

Canada in the news

As we already revealed by now, GoFundMe managed to cancel the fundraiser for the truckers in Canada who are protesting for freedom and against the coronavirus restrictions.

It’s been just revealed that Sen. Ted Cruz sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission asking them to open an investigation into GoFundMe after the company canceled a fundraiser for truckers in Canada.

“Today I sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission asking that the FTC open an investigation into GoFundMe into whether they’ve committed deceptive trade practices.”

This is what Cruz told Fox News on Sunday. He continued and explained:

“Because when people gave money, they gave money under the promise it would go to the Freedom Convoy, not to whatever left-wing political ideology GoFundMe and other Silicon Valley companies support. They are deceiving consumers and it is wrong.”

Just in case you don’t know what’s this all about, Cruz’s comments come after GoFundMe canceled the Freedom Convoy fundraiser after it had raised approximately C$10 million for the truckers and already distributed C$1 million of the funds.

It’s been just revealed that the billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk responded recently to GoFundMe canceling the Freedom Convoy fundraiser for truckers that are protesting vaccine mandates in Canada by posting a meme that was targeting the company.
