New Covid Ongoing Investigation: Coronavirus Spread Via Frozen Food

Amidst all kinds of subjects about the novel coronavirus, a new one seems to be popping up these days.

It’s been revealed that the Chinese health officials have called for an investigation into whether Covid 19 could have arrived in the country via frozen food.

This is a theory that has triggered widespread international skepticism. It’s also important to note the fact that Beijing faces mounting pressure to do more in order to help find the origins of the pandemic.

It’s also been revealed that Beijing recently rejected a World Health Organization plan for further investigations.

The online publication SCMP notes that this plan included exploring the theory that the virus could have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan that was studying bat coronaviruses.

As you probably know by now, Chinese officials said that this could not have escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology – they said that the focus should shift elsewhere, including an examination of US labs and the cold chain theory.

Analyzing the cold-chain risk

It’s also been revealed that China has maintained tight port controls in order to stop the cold-chain products from importing the virus.

It’s been revealed that there’s one case in Qingdao where researchers found the live virus on frozen packaging.

Experts also said this was the route by which two workers became infected.
The same online publication that we mentioned above notes that the finding is controversial. The WHO has said that more studies are required “to better understand if and how the virus would be able to transmit to humans from such surfaces or products”.

Covid booster shot news is out

It’s been revealed earlier today that only the Pfizer vaccine booster may get FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approval in time for a rollout the week of Sept. 20, Fauci said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Stay tuned for more news about the covid vaccines and boosters, and make sure to remain safe, you and your loved ones as well.
