SpaceX Has Delayed the International Space Station Delivery – Find out Why

SpaceX has delayed its delivery to the International Space Station because there are dangerous wind gusts. The Falcon 9 rocket came in about an hour from launching on Wednesday. The company halted the countdown, because of the excessive upper-level wind at Cape Canaveral, and because of the one in Atlantic, too. SpaceX wants to get the brand new booster on an offshore charge following the lift-off so that it can be reused. The company stated that they would try again on Thursday afternoon. The wind should be calmer, but there will be clouds.

The Dragon capsule has 3 tons of supplies for NASA, with 40 “mighty mice” for a muscle and bone study and some for a beer-malting experiment. This is the third trip to the space station for the Dragon. SpaceX has been the one to restock the orbiting lab ever since 2012. Northrop Grumman is the other private shipper from NASA.

SpaceX Has Delayed the International Space Station Delivery

SpaceX – Space Exploration Technologies Corp is a private American aerospace manufacturer and transportation services company, with its basis in California. The company was founded back in 2002 by Elon Musk. The goal was to reduce the space transportation costs in order to make the colonization of Mars possible. Among their achievements, there’s the Falcon launch vehicle and the Dragon spacecraft.

In their agenda, they also have the first liquid-propellant rocket to reach orbit, the first private company to successfully launch and orbit a spacecraft, the first private company to actually send the spacecraft to the International Space Station. They also did the first propulsive landing for an orbital rocket and the first reuse of an orbital rocket. They are also the first ones to launch an object directly into the orbit around the Sun.
