Musk’s Tesla And Starman Trip In Cosmos Can Be Tracked Via A Site

Musk’s Tesla car, along with its “driver”, the Starman, will enter an elliptical orbit around the Sun and is now on its way to Mars. For Elon Musk’s company, the launch of Falcon Heavy was a step forward towards the company’s plans to send people on Mars.

Falcon Heavy is the most powerful rocket in the world, at the moment, and the second in history, after Saturn V, the NASA propellant used for the Apollo missions.

The Tesla car can be destroyed by the radiation

Less important than the success of the mission is the long-term fate of the Tesla car send in space. The car could get too close to Mars and could collapse on the Red Planet, according to some scientists.

If the car successfully survives in this condition, is very probably to collide with the micrometeorites around Mars.

On Earth, the magnetic field and its atmosphere protect us from solar and cosmic radiation. In space, however, Musk’s Tesla car will be exposed to very strong radiations and could disintegrate within a year, according to William Carroll, a chemistry expert at the University of Indiana.

Eventually, only the aluminum frame and some other metal parts will remain.
