Get Ready for the Full “Buck” Supermoon This July – The Brightest Moon Sighting of 2022

Our beloved Moon is once again preparing to delight our view, especially if we look at our natural satellite using a pair of binoculars. Surely the Moon is visible in all its majesty even with the naked eye, but binoculars will grant you that wonderful extra showcasing of those numerous craters of the space object.

So far, astronomers have found over 100,000 craters existing on the Moon. The reason behind the numerous craters that our natural satellite poses is that space debris and chunks of asteroids and comets crashed on it. Since the Moon has no atmosphere, even the smallest space rock can create a crater.

Get ready for the brightest Supermoon of the year!

But how big will the Moon be this July, more precisely? Well, it will appear 7% larger compared to any other full Moon. That may not be noticeable if you compare the sight with another appearance of a supermoon. But the difference will still be there if you watch carefully.

Scientists were amazed to conclude recently that our Moon features a new double crater. New images shared by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter of NASA show the new double crater from the surface of our natural satellite. What happened is that a rocket body collided with our Moon on March 4.

We hate to disappoint you, but the so-called ‘Buck’ Moon has nothing to do with dollars. The moniker has been given due to the antlers that buck deer grow at about the same time of the year.
