The Peculiar Sign of COVID Infection – Pay More Attention When You Go To The Bathroom!

Cases of infection with the novel coronavirus are still on the rise in the UK, and symptoms include high fevers, a new cough, loss of smell, and taste.

Approximately ten million people across the country were put into local lockdowns in an attempt to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered all restaurants and pubs to shut at 10 pm, while nobody should have meetings with more than five people at once for the foreseeable future.

The Unexpected Symptom

However, few people know that they may be at risk of COVID-19 if they manifest an “unusual” sign in the toilet, which is why experts advise checking your stool for COViD symptoms every now and then!

Unexplainable diarrhea is a sign of COVID-19!

Studies revealed that approximately a third of all coronavirus patients develop a set of gastrointestinal symptoms, AARP says.

Other gastrointestinal signs include nausea and vomiting.

Typical symptoms of infection with the novel coronavirus include cough, fever, and shortness of breath, but the new study accentuates how they are not the only signs.

“The virus can directly infect the cells that line the gastrointestinal tract, which is why some patients can test positive for the virus with a stool sample, even if results from a nasal swab come back negative,” the report read.

Should You Be Alarmed?

However, having diarrhea doesn’t necessarily mean you have COVID. Diarrhea is an otherwise very common happening among citizens.

You don’t have to be alarmed if you have diarrhea, but it would help if you checked yourself for other disease symptoms.
