Android users should remember how hard it was to receive the latest Android updates. There were devices that has to spend a few years with an older version before they received the last. However, it appears that Google is working hard with phone companies in order to release the newer versions sooner.
A closed beta version for Android 8.0 Oreo was released for OnePlus 3 one month ago and it appears that the smartphone already received the first open beta build for Android O. This is available for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
Android O
The first Android O open beta build has been released for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones and this update should come with plenty of features and improvements.
Your system will benefit from it as well. The security patch will receive an update and the device will get quick settings design, smart-text selection and many other things.
“We would like to highlight that the update is further to the recent over-the-air (OTA) roll out for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users. Through the last update, we added various OnePlus 5 features to the OnePlus 3 and 3T and will continue to offer relevant software improvements,” OnePlus explained
While the previous programme was a closed one and it was accessible only to a few users, Android O will be available for all users and the company will take into account their experience. All the feedback should be used in order to refine the update before its official release.
One Plus 3T and OnePlus 3
The two devices that received this upgrade, One Plus 3T and OnePlus 3, are both devices that did well on the market and they have a lot of users. One Plus 3T was released six months after the OnePlus 3.
