A lot of people out there have faith in the 500-year-old book called Les Prophéties, which was written by Michel de Nostradame (commonly known as Nostradamus). The book is believed to predict the future in its 942 forecasts written by the famous French philosopher and astrologer.
Nostradamus is believed to have accurately predicted the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the terror attacks from 9.11.2001 from the World Trade Center, the coronavirus pandemic, and more. While his supposed predictions can still be the subject of debate, as there are also a lot of skeptics out there, and for good reasons, it’s time to see what the thinker had to say about 2023, according to WION!
A Third World War in 2023?
Nostradamus spoke about a “great war” happening in 2023. We all know about the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine that started in February 2022. There are a lot of concerns out there that this war could lead to another world war, given how much the West supports Ukraine with military power. On the other hand, the Russian army is being supported as well by its allies.
Mars landing?
We all know that all Elon Musk does in public is that he never stops talking about how people will land on Mars at some point in the future. While such a goal is currently set for 2029, Nostradamus seems to have prophecies that it will happen much earlier, in 2023. The astrologer mentioned a “light on Mars falling,” which, of course, could be interpreted in many ways.
The new Pope
A new Pope will replace Francis in Nostradamus’ prediction for the current year. The astrologer also said that Francis would be the last true Pope. He also said that the next Pope would cause a disaster.
Economic downfall
Many areas of the globe are currently facing significant economic problems – most of Europe and the US. This economic downfall is the outcome of the COVID pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Nostradamus seems to have foreseen this whole situation, as he said, “So high will the bushel of wheat rise, that man will be eating his fellow man.”
Fire in the sky
“Celestial fire on the Royal edifice” is another prophecy of Nostradamus. Those who believe in the astrologer’s prophecies believe that he foresees a new world order rising from the ashes of civilization. This could mean the beginning of a new world order, whatever that means.
Civil unrest
It’s clear to everybody that, at this point, the cost of living is not reasonable almost anywhere. Therefore, civil unrest could reach a peak this year, and Nostradamus seems to have predicted this situation as well.
The famous astrologer wrote, as WION quotes:
Sooner and later you will see great changes made, dreadful horrors and vengeance.
The trumpet shakes with great discord. An agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven: the bloody mouth will swim with blood; the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground.
While 2023 is still far from over, let’s just hope that Nostradamus was wrong!
