E-Cigarettes Present The Same Carcinogenic Chemicals As The Regular Cigarettes

E-Cigarettes Present The Same Carcinogenic Chemicals As The Regular Cigarettes

A research that has been done by the scientists at the University of California, San Francisco, has revealed that the regular cigarettes and e-cigarettes share the same chemicals that prone to cancer development. Thus, e-cigarettes present the same carcinogenic chemicals as the regular cigarettes.

Both E-cigs vapers and regular cigarettes smokers present amount of toxins by three times higher than non-smokers

The scientists analyzed the urine probes sampled from more than 100 teenagers. 67 of the tested teenagers were only e-cigs vapers, 17 of them were smoking both regular cigarettes and e-cigs, while 20 of them were not smokers at all.

The researchers have noticed that the teenagers who were both smokers and vapers, at the same time, presented amounts of toxins in their urine samples by 300% higher than those who only use e-cigs.

In their turn, the teenagers who consume e-cigs, exclusively, presented by 300% higher amounts of toxins in their urine samples in comparison to the teenagers who don’t smoke or vape.

E-cigarettes present the same carcinogenic chemicals as the regular cigarettes

“The vapor produced by e-cigarettes is not harmless water vapor, but actually contains some of the same toxic chemicals found in smoke from traditional cigarettes,” admitted Mark Rubinstein, the leader of the study.

On the other hand, Rubinstein believes that the toxins present in e-cigarettes are given by the glycerin and propylene glycol additives that give the specific flavors of each brand in part.

Even though e-cigarettes producers advertise their products as safe and even suggest smokers to quit smoking regular cigarettes and to start using e-cigs, recent studies on e-cigarettes revealed that they can be as nocive as regular cigarettes.

Besides, e-cigs have another negative impact on people. E-cigarettes are more an more used by teenagers because of the massive marketing campaigns that promote them as safe alternatives to classic smoking. This trending, however, has been proved to turn e-cigs teens vapers into regular cigarettes smokers.

In conclusion, the e-cigarettes present the same carcinogenic chemicals as the regular cigarettes, therefore they are not at all a safer or healthier alternative to classic smoking.
