The case of Julian Assange is rocking the world. Journalists all over should remain with their eyes on the subject, as the freedom of all is involved. His case mirrors the punishment for free journalism.
The British High Court in London began a hearing on Tuesday to consider Julian Assange’s final appeal against his extradition to the U.S. Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, is facing espionage charges in the U.S. for publishing classified U.S. military documents.
The hearing continued on Wednesday, and if unsuccessful, this could be his final appeal. Supporters of Assange demonstrated around the world, seeking his release from prison.

Someone commented: “Tucker’s evolution is remarkable. This is the most important topic in journalism, EVER, yet ignored by regime media cowards.”
A follower said, “How can a country for which there is overriding evidence that it trashed Assange’s attorney-client privilege, downloaded the contents of his lawyer’s devices, elicited false testimony, now recanted, and plotted to kill him – give him a fair trial?”
Mike Pompeo conspired to kill Assange, and according to CBSN, he should be on trial.

Ahead of this week’s hearing, Assange’s father, John Shipton, told Crikey the family still had hoped the court would side with Assange: “Lawyers say Julian’s arguments are strong, and odds are if arguments are given their due weight and UK law is honored, an appeals hearing will be allowed.”
There’s a lot of dirt involved in Assange’s case, and it remains to be seen whether justice will eventually be made or not.

Alice Jill Edwards, the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on Torture, has requested the UK Government to reconsider the potential extradition of Julian Assange to the US.
She has raised serious concerns regarding the possibility of Assange facing torture or other forms of mistreatment and punishment if extradited. Edwards has urged the British authorities to review Assange’s appeal thoroughly, taking into account these concerns.
