Getting the majority vaccinated for COVID remains a great way to stop the coronavirus spread, according to experts. Adding the rampant increase of infections with the Delta variant in the US, there’s no wonder why renowned public voices are strongly recommending the residents to get a COVID vaccine.
According to OregonLive.com, Oregon Governor Kate Brown announced that all teachers from the American state have to get vaccinated against COVID. The Oregon Department of Education reveals that the rule will be applied starting this fall.
No vaccinations for 12-year-old children and older
The state of Oregon is not yet considering vaccination demands in the case of children 12 years old and older.

Governor Kate Brown motivated the decision by saying, as quoted by OregonLive.com:
COVID-19 poses a threat to our kids, and our kids need to be protected and they need to be in school,
That’s why I’m willing to take the heat for this decision.
Previously, Portland Public Schools, meaning Oregon’s largest district, announced that all of its educators also have to get vaccinated for COVID by the end of the month.
Our World in Data reveals that 32.2% of the entire world population has been vaccinated for the SARS-CoV-2 virus with at least one dose. Also, 24.2% of the world is fully vaccinated. The same source tells us that a total of 4.88 billion doses were administered across the world, while 35.88 million doses are currently administered every day.
The Delta variant of COVID was first found in India, and it’s considered significantly more contagious than other strains of the coronavirus. A recent detailed analysis of an outbreak in Guangdong (China) suggests that those who get infected with the Delta strain of COVID are more likely to spread the disease to others before even manifesting any symptoms.
