Based on the latest claims circulating on X and more online publications, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko alleged that the World Bank and IMF offered him a “bribe” – as noted by the Belarusian agency, of $940 million USD disguised as “Covid Relief Aid” through the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, BelTA, last month.
Belarusian President drops shocking reports
“In exchange for $940 million USD, the World Bank and IMF demanded that the President of Belarus:
• imposed “extreme lockdown on his people”
• force them to wear face masks
• impose very strict curfews
• impose a police state
• crash the economy,” Slay News notes.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko allegedly declined an offer from the IMF and World Bank, stating that he prioritizes the needs of his people over those of international financial organizations.

Someone on X said: “He first said this back in 2020, President Lukashenko was pretty well the only Western leader to correctly call-out the COVID insanity, describing it as “political and economic war.”
Another follower posted this: “Knew this 3yrs ago.. they then tried ousting him under a fake election, for telling the World and the MSM went against him. Lockdowns would not have happened without World Bank etc proping up countries Economies.”
An important note is the fact that the allegations have NOT BEEN PROVEN; they are only based on what the Belarus President has said.
More publications have cited the data that’s been circulating on X and revealed it. The mainstream media did not mention anything about this so far.
According to the reports, on March 2, 2020, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva issued a joint statement with World Bank President David Malpass, announcing that they would help address challenges posed by Covid-19 with special attention to “poor countries” adding that they would use their available instruments to the “fullest extent possible” (IMF, 2020).
