The Covid vaccines are still in the headlines these days, after more than two years of the pandemic. Now, it seems that China just launched its own vaccine, and you can learn more details about it below.
China launches covid vaccine
Shanghai started administering an inhalable covid vaccine on Wednesday in what appears to be a world first.
The vaccine consists of a mist that is sucked in through the mouth. It’s also been revealed that the vaccine is being offered for free as a booster dose for previously vaccinated individuals, according to an announcement posted on an official city social media account.
“Needle-free vaccines may persuade people who don’t like getting a shot to get vaccinated, as well as help expand vaccination in poor countries because they are easier to administer,” according to official notes.
It’s also worth noting the fact that China doesn’t have vaccine mandates but wants more people to get booster shots before it relaxes strict pandemic restrictions. These restrictions are still holding back the economy and are increasingly out of sync with the rest of the world.

There are more and more reports regarding the covid vaccines these days especially following the scandal in which Pfizer landed once again. A few days ago, we already revealed that during a recent meeting on the European Union’s COVID-19 response, Pfizer’s president of international developed markets, Janine Small, admitted that its vaccine had never been tested before its release to the general public on its ability to prevent the transmission of COVID when asked by Dutch politician and a current Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Robert “Rob” Roos.
