A Fireball on the Night Sky Leaves Utah Residents Speechless

A Fireball on the Night Sky Leaves Utah Residents Speechless

Just in case you wanted another reason to keep your eyes peeled on the night sky every evening, you must know that the Taurids meteor shower has done it again! Another massive fireball has ignited the skies of Utah, and the chances are high that the meteor belongs to the aforementioned meteor shower.

We can expect fireballs produced by the Taurid meteor shower to continue to amaze the world with their dominance on the night sky throughout the entire month of November. The meteor shower officially ends on December 10, which means that we all still have a lot of time left to admire the celestial show in all its beauty.

A video of a new fireball zooming across the sky over the state of Utah has surfaced online, and it was recorded at about 10:45 PM. The space object was extremely luminous and imposing, and surely it gave the creeps to some of the residents of the American state. Behold:

As you may have already guessed, due to the name ‘Taurids,’ the meteor shower in question is believed to have its origin in the Taurus constellation.

However, the Taurids don’t represent the only meteor shower that occurred in 2022. In the current year, stargazers also had the chance to witness the Lyrid meteor shower that had its peak in late April; the Eta Aquarid meteor shower, which peaked in early May; the Perseid meteor shower, which peaked in August, as well as the Orionid meteor shower that reached its peak in late October.

The Taurids meteor shower can be admired in all its glory every year between September and December. You can spot many of the ‘falling stars’ with the naked eye. All you need is a clear sky above your head during night time, and eventually some binoculars if you want to enhance your experience.
