If you are not sure what you can do this winter, we suggest that you take a look at this article. It comes packed with a great idea!

Visit CERN Science Gateway

CERN makes a juicy announcement about what you can do during the future months in your spare time.

While the CERN site will be closed for end-of-year break on 23rd December, the CERN Science Gateway will remain open for you and your loved ones to visit during the winter break.

The exhibitions at the CERN Science Gateway will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for the days of 24th, 25th and 31st December, and 1st, 6th and 7th January when they will remain closed.

The CERN Science Gateway welcomes families and individuals on the day of their visit. If your group has 12 or more people, you need to book your visit several months in advance.

During December, CERN personnel can enjoy a 10% discount at the CERN shop by showing their CERN access card. Explore the exhibitions, the Big Bang Café, and the CERN shop.

We recommend using public transport as there are only a limited number of paid parking spaces available. For more information, please visit https://visits.web.cern.ch/getting-here.

The CERN Science Gateway guides have already welcomed over 40,000 visitors since its opening to the public on October 8. If you are interested in joining the team, guide training is available.
