Sen. Ted Cruz: RFK Jr. Needs Secret Service Protection

It has been just revealed the fact that Senator Ted Cruz said that RFK Jr. said that he needs Secret Service protection. Why? Check out the answer below.

RFK Jr. to need Secret Service protection?

Senator Ted Cruz sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday, inquiring why the agency has not yet provided protection to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a 2024 presidential candidate.

“On July 21, 2023, you made the executive decision to deny Secret Service protection to Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr. after eighty-eight days of failing to respond to his either formal request for protection, or follow-ups by his campaign,” said the Oct. 16 letter.

The notes continued and said the following: “This delay represents a stark departure from the standard fourteen-day turnaround for this type of request.”
He also talked about an incident in September when an armed man impersonating a U.S. marshal was arrested at one of Mr. Kennedy’s events in Los Angeles.

“This near assassination attempt hardly came as a surprise given that Mr. Kennedy’s original request for Secret Service protection included a sixty-seven page report from a leading private security firm detailing a myriad of unique and well-established safety risks,” the letter said.
On September 29, two weeks after the incident in Los Angeles, Judicial Watch, a government accountability organization, received 11 pages of Secret Service records. These records detailed the Secret Service’s denial of Mr. Kennedy’s request for protection. The report stated that Mr. Kennedy had received several threats from “known subjects” and that he was at a higher “risk for adverse attention.” The Secret Service assessment cited several security threats to Mr. Kennedy, as noted by Mr. Cruz.
