Far Cry 3 has been launched in 2012 and it was developed by Ubisoft and Red Star Entertainment. Far Cry 5 will be on the stores’ shelves this spring and will come with many bonuses for the buyers, such as Lost on Mars, Dead Living Zombies, and Hours of Darkness DLC contents, and with Far Cry 3. However, the Far Cry 3 that will come with Far Cry 5 will not be remastered, as many hoped.
The Far Cry franchise made history
Far Cry franchise was really appreciated by gamers and critics.
The first installment came with a revolutionary engine, CryEngine 1, and was developed by Crytek which has eventually sold the franchise’s rights to Ubisoft, as they moved on to Crysis franchise, another fabulous FPS.
Even more, a movie (“Far Cry”, 2008) was made after the first Far Cry video game but didn’t get a very positive feedback.
Far Cry 3 was the most appreciated installment. With new cool features such as the RPG-related features, with experience point and crafting system, the game received 9 stars out of 10, on average.
Ubisoft’s gift to the buyers of Far Cry 5, the Far Cry 3 will not be remastered
Many gamers hoped that the Far Cry 3 bonus will be a remastered version of the 2012 original game. Unfortunately, Ubisoft’s representatives clearly stated for GamerHeadquarters that the “Far Cry 3 will be a re-release, not a newly remastered version of the game.”
The future Far Cry 5
Far Cry 5 will most probably surpass the Far Cry 3 release because it will bring lots of new features among which the most interesting one will be the recruitment system. Similar to the Buddies system of Far Cry 2, this feature will allow the player to recruit people from the locals to fight alongside with him.
Another feature is that the game offers players a more realistic manner to discover new map areas. The gameplay relies on the player’s relations with the in-game characters and on his own abilities to discover new missions, new characters, and new events.
The game is set to be launched on March 27th, 2018.
