The Strongest Coffee In The World Comes With A Warning

Its creator says that caffeine levels are good for a drink, but a rate of 12 ounces could give 702 mg of caffeine, and the US FDA advises to consume only 300 mg of caffeine a day.

This is the strongest coffee in the world, but you must be careful with it, a single cup can exceed your daily limits of caffeine.

“If you want to get up, you need to be ‘the most’: the biggest, the smartest, the strongest or the cheapest,” said Black Insomnia founder Sean Kristafor.

As a coffee aficionado, Kristafor created a premium coffee company and last June began marketing Black Insomnia, selling its first product to local cafes in Cape Town, South Africa.

riced at $ 19 per pound, the company’s online business sold three tons more than other local businesses in August, he says. By October, they had customers in 22 countries. And in March they were already in the US market through Amazon. The company now sells five to six tons of coffee each month.

With a sweet almond flavor, the strength of Black Insomnia comes from the robust coffee bean and the way it is processed. To prove their title as the ‘strongest in the world’, Kristafor makes chemical tests to their kernels against those of their competitors.

With a measure of 58.5 mg per ounce, Black Insomia is more than twice as strong as a dark roast from Starbucks, which is about 21.25 mg per ounce. This all depends on how you are prepared, of course.

Kristafor says that caffeine levels are good for a drink, but a rate of 12 ounces could give you 702 mg of caffeine. A much higher amount than the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends consuming daily: 400 mg.

The International Food Information Council (IFIC) advises you to consume only 300 mg. Of caffeine daily.

DOUBLE QUANTITY

“For the same amount of coffee you will have a double amount of caffeine,” says Mary Sweeney, who investigates the effects of this substance at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

The research also indicates that that way it is easy to exceed a greater amount of caffeine than is actually attempted, thereby increasing the risk of symptoms such as agitation, nervousness, discomfort and sleeping problems.

Caffeine Informer, a website that gives consumer information to help you understand caffeine, lists Black Insomnia as one of the most dangerous fairing products.

COMPETING AGAINST DEATH WISH

Death Wish, the supposed second strongest coffee in the world says not to be afraid about the competition of these ‘new guys’.

Caiden Tuller, who works in the New York-based company’s customer service department, says: “We are leading the strong coffee category and we will not stop doing it soon. Our coffee is very different from the competition, due to the fact that our roasting has both the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic Certificate as well as the Fair Trade Certificate. ”

Both cafes are available for sale on Amazon. The trading company sells a range of caffeine products including drinks, pills, eye creams, inhalers and shampoos.

Amazon requires that products comply with US Food and Drug Administration regulations, which include accreditation of processing, packaging and labeling facilities.

But for items such as coffee beans, the FDA counts caffeine not as a nutrient but rather as a natural chemical. If caffeine is added separately, then inclusion is required on the food label.

“We are very aware of the boundaries and there are clear warning labels,” says Kristafor of Black Insomnia. “At Caffeine Informer they say that if you drink more than 20 Black Insomnia rates you will win a Darwin Award … a prize for people dying for doing stupid things.”
