Herd immunity has been a subject that people all over the world have become familiar with these days, amidst the global crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

There are all kinds of debates about immunization taking place, and some even said that a vaccine could not turn out to be successful due to the lack of enough immunization in the US. People don’t really seem to be in a rush to get vaccinated, according to the latest reports. 

People testing negative could still have immunity 

It’s been just revealed that people who are testing negative for the coronavirus antibodies may still have immunity, according to a new study. 

BBC just reported that for every person testing positive for antibodies, two had been found to have specific T-cells that identify and destroy the infected cells in the organism. 

It seems that this was noticed even in people with mild symptoms or none at all.

Another thing that’s important to be noted is that it’s not quite clear yet whether this is protecting that specific individual, or if this might also stop them from passing the infection to other people as well.
