NASA seems serious when it states that it will send humans back to the Moon in the near future. That’s supposed to happen through the Artemis mission that’s scheduled for launch in 2024.
No astronaut has ever landed on our natural satellite since 1972 during the Apollo missions. Space agencies have invoked the lack of funds as one of the excuses for not being able to send humans to the Moon again for such a long time. That has inevitably triggered a huge wave of skepticism and conspiracy theories, as some were claiming that humans encountered hostile alien life forms on our natural satellite.
Whatever the truth is, what’s for sure is that NASA is preparing to get a black astronaut to join the future crew of those who will try to land on the Moon. The decision is probably part of a politically correct type of action.

Bill Nelson, the NASA Administrator, revealed the list of astronauts who will be sent by NASA to the Moon:

Born in April 1976, Victor Jerome Glover, by his full name, is one of NASA’s astronauts of the class of 2013. He also serves as a Pilot for SpaceX Crew Dragon’s first operational flight to the International Space Station (ISS). Glover has also graduated from the US Air Force Test Pilot School.
