Space lovers will be able to enjoy some special nights. Five different planets will be seen in the sky, and a telescope won’t be needed in order to admire them. The five planets are Mercury, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. Here are a few things that you must know if you are trying to spot the five planets.
Venus
Venus is easy to spot because it is very bright. You might believe it is a plane and it becomes noticeable after sunset. Venus is in fact the brightest object in the night sky. Venus is closer to the Sun than planet Earth which means that it is visible before and after sunrise as well.to notice it.
Jupiter
Jupiter is the second brightest to Venus so it is not too difficult to notice it. On July the 15th you should be able to see Jupiter as long as you use a pair of binoculars. You can also see the four moons of the planet: Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
Callisto can be seen to the west of the planet, and Ganymede is close to it. Next to them you will see Io and Europa, which are a lot closer to Jupiter.
Mercury
This planet is a small one and can be seen near the sun. However, by being so close to it, Mercury can be difficult to see. It should be easier to spot it before or after sunset. You should be able to notice it on July 15 because it will set one hour after the sun sets.
Saturn
You will be able to see Saturn after sunset. It is a star that is not as bright as Jupiter and you’ll find it in the south.
