Coronavirus – A New Way Of Spreading It Has Been Discovered: Aerosolized Feces

You might want to keep down the lid of your toilet during the Coronavirus outbreak, according to a new report.

A group of researchers has discovered that the virus can spread via fecal matter.

How Can The Virus Reach Your House

It was already known that the virus could be spread by fecal-oral transmission, but the new research revealed that it could also be transmitted by “aerosolized feces.”

The research was published by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.

You might be wondering why that would be a problem for you since you don’t ever come to contact with aerosolized feces.

However, the truth is painful and scary – Aerosolized feces can be propelled into the air you’re breathing by toilet plume, which is caused by toilet flushes.

The best way to avoid that is simple and most efficient – Close the lid of your toilet before flushing!

That solution was proposed by Dr. Qingyan Chen, a mechanical engineering professor from Purdue University. According to him, that solution can prevent 80% of the fecal particles from entering the air in your house.

It is indeed only partly safer, but it’s certainly better than nothing, and in times like these, every single bit of additional protection is welcome.

Staying Safe

COVID-19 is no joke. You should take care of and protect yourself and your family as well as you can. Wash your hands frequently, avoid exiting your house if you don’t need to do so.

Don’t stock up on products that aren’t essential. People worldwide are hoarding toilet paper for no good reason. You should ration your goods and use them efficiently.

Also, don’t take medicine if you don’t need to (or it hasn’t been prescribed by a specialist).

  1. Shouldn’t we be worried about money being hand over at stores

Money travels a long ways and through a lot of hands it wouldn’t take long to knock out the whole world with this virus

    1. Barb, bills can be washed. They’re very durable. I accidentally left a few ones in a jacket I washed & they even went thru the dryer. They came out very clean…since then when I have the time I put some in a bowl with a little dish soap & vinegar & lay them out to dry. My son accuses me of ” money laundering”!

    3. I personally believe that before everyone realizes it, That handling moneies from person to person is going to be alot of the reason as to why so many different people are contracting this awful awful disease. I actually told my Husband back when we first heard about this virus that what about the spreading all this virus NOT just Covid 19 but every gem is getting passed on money. Its hard to say how far just one single Dollar bill goes and how many hands it ends up in… SCARY!!!

    4. Absolutely! Any and every time after you exchange money there is a possibility of it having multiple different viruses and bacteria. If someone decides not to wash their hands and takes that money then to the register. Your the next in line and get change back, not only the checker, but you now have probable feces or other bathroom yucks on your fingers that are now in your wallet or purse. Everytime you go out the rule is hands stay bellow your shoulders until you return home Wash your hands immediately, then put your other items away. Rewash your hands and then go about your home life.

      1. A lot of paper money is used to snort cocaine and residue is left on it. I used to work in a hospital laboratory. People would lay money on work areas where blood, urine and spinal fluids were being tested. Think about what could be on that money. I always make sure I wash my hands after handling money especially during and after my lab days. Also, if you go bowling and you use one of the bowling balls there, how many gems are in the finger holes. People use the balls, go to the restroom, don’t wash their hands and bowl again.

    5. >Ya, I to have been wondering about that. It seems likely however I wonder if the fact that US Currency is not paper but fabric that might make it less likely to spread the virus. Who knows it’s also true that 90% of all US Currency has cocaine residue on it.

    6. What I really want to know is if you get “drive thru”or delivered food aren’t you taking a BIG chance because the person who handles your food could be asymptomatic and have Covid or who’s to know if they have coughed or sneezed suddenly in close contact with the food area?? Why is no one addressing this? Because that food will go directly into your mouth? Sight unseen as to who may have prepared it, and who they’ve been in contact with? How is that safe since some people show no symptoms?

      Reply
      1. Yes I have been wondering about this too. Food is not protected adequately by those preparing it. Food establishments are not requiring employees to wear masks and gloves. I don’t like to order take out right now fearing contamination. Safer to prepare my own food rather than have someone I don’t know that may be asymptomatic of COVID-19 and pass it onto me and my family.

My 7 yr old and I are litteraly starving. I only could pay half my rent they want the other half by the 24th of April. I don’t know what to do. I’m scared to death

      2. That message does not mean they kept your check. They may have but i read where it is a flaw in the system. And to check back later. I owe taxes and I can still get a check. But there are churches out there still helping with food. And if related to covid 19 you can not lose your home. I would check into local resources. Hope this helps.

      3. Trust in the true and living God. God loves you. Receive His son Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord and you will be saved. Believe and trust God and He will provide everything you need spiritually and physically. And look for ways physically that will help you as well. Go to food banks where you can get free food for example. Trust God, He will provide what you need. He is the true source for everlasting life and life on earth until the day we behold Him face to face in Heaven. God bless you and He truly loves you. Read His Holy Word the Bible everyday. Paulette that was a wonderful answer … God is the answer to all our problems … i think that God has allowed this virus to be & go on like He has to try & get us open our eyes & see what kind of shape our works has gotten into .. people need to get on their hands & knees & ask him to start first in our own lives & if we are not saved to save us & make us a witness for others to see … also i think we who have plenty should be sharing .. check on our neighbors… you don’t know your neighbors? anyone you come in contact is your neighbor .. help spread a little love … sometimes we need to spread that love a little thicker by giving to those in need … if anyone will give me your name & phone # i will help get you food if you really need it

If he could be on the bottom of your shoe I’m going to the store, then it’s on the surfaces!!! who sneezes on the floor?!?!?

*******The only way to get rid of a virus is to run let it run it’s course!

That being said if everyone were to stay in their house for 20 days and shut down everything for 20 days it Would be gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s no way that people can’t survive for 20 days in their own home!!!!!

one more thing this virus has to be man made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you think about it everything is too convenient❣️

Just wanted to add something… They need more testing! And they need to test it on other things besides cardboard and metal! How about clothes, plastic, cars, products in the store!

That’s all… And I’m not at all trying to be negative I’m just being real! I hope everyone stays safe☮️

        1. The problem is there are many people that could not stay home for 20 days! There are thousands of dialysis patients that will die without their 4 hour dialysis treatment 3 times a week, there are countless cancer patients that need treatment not to mention any heart attacks, stroke, etc. It would not work just because of the many people that require ongoing care just to stay alive.

      2. I have to say I agree with Molly, I have been saying this same thing for weeks ….. let it run it’s course, but with an added twist I think 4 weeks would be the ticket. It takes two weeks to incubate and then isolation for two weeks so it would seem to me that if we put the entire nation on lockdown for 4 weeks it should be gone. Food for thought.

    10. Good point..to prevent this just use your ATM cards wipe them with sanitizer after use and continue to wash your hands as many time as needed.

    1. What good would that do, you sanitize the money and then the very next person who handles it may contaminate it.
Wash your hands, use sanitizer and keep your hands off your face.

An if the landlord keeps harassing you about it let them know this is a pandem8c an we are ordered to shelter in place.. They can not evict you until this is contained an the courts are reopened. Besides they excepted half the rent right, so this mo is covered anyways since no one is supposed to collect rent from anyone who is effected, layed off or fired from this pandemic. Barnes family.

    1. Hello Barb and everyone else reading us,

Yes, you are right! Money (banknotes or coins) is indeed a way to transmit diseases — flu, bacteria, COIVD-19, and so on. However, we live in a digital world, so the worst one of all is our gadgets, including smartphones, laptops, PCs, and the list can go on.

Hygienize your devices. Also, wash hands, wear masks, and stay home. Social distancing, no matter how challenging it seems, is ideal for tackling the new virus — at least, until the specialists come up with a solution.

Also, the scientists struggled to come up with a reliable theory on how long the new coronavirus lasts on various surfaces. Unfortunately, the research goes on, along with the one focusing on a cure and a valid vaccine.

Here’s an article on our site, on this matter: COVID-19 News: Researchers Revealed New Details On How Long Coronavirus Lasts On Surfaces

Hopefully, I helped you with this reply. Stay safe! Sincerely,

    1. Should money come into contact with some amount of viral load you must remember that the virus cannot survive on it’s own indefinitely. I believe paper Bill’s may be able to hold viral matter for approximately up to 4Bill’s. at most and coins generally for much less time especially copper for example where the viral matter literally dies away in no more than a few hours. Just be sure to clean hands especially after handling fresh bills. ???

  7. This is all just too much!!! Now they’re saying that the WHO may begin to start coming into our homes, (by force if necessary) and removing friends and family members. Now that will be a larger loss of life!!!! Do they honestly think that people are going to just stand by while someone takes their child away???????

    1. Can someone please confirm this story. It is very concerning to think anyone can come into your home and take someone away. Where is this information at? I want to read about it. 8. Remember also that although money can be filthy for a period of time just handle it Only when you need too. I wouldn’t be too worried about viral matter becoming airborne off of money or other innate objects, unless there is a piece of human feces or fluid(s) on the Money which would be a rare event. Just keep your hands free after handling money- like making payment, and then go and sanitize your hands correctly. ????

      Are you retarded??
If feces can show up on your remote control, cell phone, fast food, etc., you don’t think it’s possible to show up on money too??
By way of dirty hands not being washed after pooping.
      That’s indirect contact.
Then there’s Direct contact… Your talented stripper that can not only twist the cap off of your beer bottle with her buttcheeks but also is very capable of picking up your $1 bills too.

I’m sick of people putting up on Facebook “do you know how stupid you look wearing gloves at a store” think of it this way ” no gloves on, you just picked up the can of beans , oops I wanted the larger can land sat that can back down with your bare hands and next person picked it up, wear your gloves to protect YOU! . Do think people wash there hands between picking up stuff and setting it back down…NO, wear your gloves and carry your sanitizer and sanitize your gloves between each item you pick up also when you unload your groceries, spray or wipe that can of beans down real quick before putting away, remove gloves and wash your hands, then sanitize them. Not to mention seeing all the idiots that licked crap while at the store and video taped it and on Facebook…wear your gloves, sanitize between touching products, sanitize product before putting in cabinet, wash n sanitize your hands after doing all that.

  14. Having worked in banks previously, I can attest to how dirty/nasty money can be. I watched a little boy who was holding money in his chubby little hands wipe his snotty nose with them. Oh brother, that was difficult to pick up that money from the drawer where it was. Upon talking to one of the bank V. P. s, he told me to take a bottle of alcohol with me to my little bldg. When I got nasty sweaty money to lay it out on the counter & pour alcohol on it. If the customer got offended, we didn’t need their business that bad anyway. This has stuck with me since 1976. So yes money is one of the nastiest, dirtiest things that you can handle.
