The onset interval refers to the time between vaccination and the appearance of the first symptoms. When examining death reports, this interval will indicate the time between the first symptoms and the actual death. A safe vaccine is expected to show a peak near day 0, which may result from false reports due to coincidence in the first few days after vaccination. The curve should then remain relatively flat. This is observed in many vaccines, such as the Rubella vaccine, which has no death reports in the VAERS records, but has 800 reports of adverse events.
It should be noted that the flu vaccine, FLU4, has a curve for the onset of deaths. However, it is important to keep in mind that FLU4 may be administered alongside other vaccines during the same visit. Therefore, it may be difficult to isolate the effects of FLU4 alone. Nevertheless, it is expected that reported death rates after vaccination should remain consistent and random in relation to the vaccination date, as vaccines are generally considered safe.
