US Could Make This Happen For Vaccine Boosters

It’s been revealed that the US could be making the covid 19 vaccine boosters available for the people in the country. Check out the latest available reports coming from Market Watch.

FDA authorizes J&J booster use

It’s been just reported that the Food and Drug Administration advisory committee voted unanimously Friday that allowing adults who were initially vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine against the disease triggered by the novel coronavirus to get a booster is safe and effective. They also freed the agency to authorize its use.

Market Watch notes the following essential data:

“The committee’s recommendation is to offer a booster to people 18 and older at least two months after their first shot. If the FDA follows the advice of the committee, which it is not required to do but often does, it means that all three COVID-19 vaccines that are available in the U.S. have authorized boosters, with the caveat that there are restrictions in place on who can get a mRNA booster.”

As you already know by now, the vaccines developed by Pfizer and German partner BioNTech and Moderna are based on mRNA technology.

The same notes explain that those are being reserved for now for “people 65 and over, adults who are at high risk of severe disease, and those who face higher exposure to the virus because of their jobs.”

It’s also important to note the fact that about 15 million people in the U.S. have received the J&J’s JNJ, -1.04% adenovirus-based vaccine.

Expert reveals terrifying covid 19 prediction

A recent article on Yahoo Finance notes that President Joe Biden has recently addressed the country’s progress in the fight against covid 19 this week as new cases decline and vaccination rates rise.

On the other hand, it is also important to note the fact that despite the recent progress, health officials are warning that the pandemic is far from over, even with the Delta variant in retreat.

Stay tuned for more news.
