Kate Middleton reveals she has cancer in new video
Kate has recently revealed she has been diagnosed with cancer.
In a video statement released on Friday, she revealed that she had undergone significant abdominal surgery in London in January. Initially, her condition was believed to be non-cancerous; however, she also mentioned that she is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she stated.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
Kensington Palace stated that it is confident she will make a full recovery, according to the BBC.
“I am well and getting stronger everyday by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits,” Kate later added in her speech.
She also asked for space and privacy while she completed her treatment.
