The covid booster shots have been making headlines a lot this year, and they managed to create multiple controversies involving who should get them and how often.
Their efficiency has been discussed a lot as well.
Now, it’s been revealed that BBC notes that health and frontline workers and people above 60 years old with comorbidities are currently eligible to take the jab.
The drive began as India battles a spike in Covid cases – this was reportedly fuelled by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
“Early studies from other countries have suggested that a booster vaccine may provide more protection against Omicron.”
BBC also reminds readers that the highly transmissive Omicron variant was first discovered in South Africa in November.
Since then, there are some countries have expanded their booster programs or shortened the gap between jabs to shore up protection against the variant.
BBC’s article also noted the following:
“In India, the booster shot – dubbed a “precaution dose” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi – will be the same vaccine that was given to a person for their first and second doses.”
Covid in the news
The novel coronavirus continues to remain all over the news.
There’s an extraordinarily interesting interview that should be addressed here as well for all our readers, no matter how controversial it is.

You might be aware of the fact that the mRNA vaccine expert/inventor dr. Robert Malone went on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast to raise concerns over the covid 19 vaccines and also to touch a bunch of other interesting related issues.
As the online publication the Daily Mail reports, YouTube has removed Joe Rogan’s interview with the scientist who helped invent mRNA vaccines. We suggest that you check out vital data about the interview in our previous article.
We suggest that you check out the latest on covid and meanwhile make sure to remain safe.
