Enforcing covid vaccine rules for millions of workers
Now, it’s been revealed that federal contractors will have broad leeway to enforce President Joe Biden’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate, according to new guidance the White House that has been released Monday. This reveals details on the implementation of the rules.
CNBC notes the fact that under the new guidance, federal contractors from IBM and Boeing to foodservice providers will have the flexibility to determine the way in which they enforce the vaccination requirements for workers who refuse to be vaccinated.
“A covered contractor should determine the appropriate means of enforcement with respect to its employee at a covered contractor workplace who refuses to be vaccinated and has not been provided, or does not have a pending request for, an accommodation.”
This is what the guidelines, which affect millions of workers, are stating.
CDC gives it OK for vaccinating kids against covid
Earlier today, we revealed that according to the latest reports, this late Tuesday, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky signed off on the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine following an expert panel’s recommendation.
EU USA Today just reported that the Biden administration had ordered enough vaccines to cover all 28 million American children in the age group, presidential adviser Jeffrey Zients said Monday.
We also revealed that the administration’s distribution program will be “running at full strength” the week of Nov. 8.
“We know millions of parents are eager to get their children vaccinated and with this decision, we now have recommended that about 28 million children receive a COVID-19 vaccine.”
