“You choose, vaccine or I will have you jailed,” Duterte said recently following reports of low turnouts at several vaccination sites in the capital, Manila.
Duterte’s remarks contradict those of his health officials, according to the same online publication – they have said that while people are urged to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, it was voluntary.
“Don’t get me wrong, there is a crisis in this country,” Duterte said. “I’m just exasperated by Filipinos not heeding the government.”

Hell I am quite tired of people who believe everything they read on Social Media. Last I checked it isn’t a good resource for factual information. However, it is an excellent resource utilized to feed unintelligent people information so you can weed them out or divide and concur. Well I am a Mother and I can tell how very much that you love your Son. I am very critical of most everybody that will not take this vaccine. BUT I AM NOT AT ALL CRITICAL IF YOU. I completely understand your fear because I would feel the same way. I also know that if you and your Son did not have the bad reactions to vaccines that you both would be the first in line to get this vaccine to protect your Son but honey just so you know you have a very good reason for being scared to get any vaccine so you do not worry about those people who criticize you. Until they walk in your shoes they have no business criticizing anybody. The fact is that the rest of us should get the vaccine to protect you and your Son. Your story brought tears to my eyes and also told me what an amazing Mother your Son has. What about the group of people out there that would like to be vaccinated but have health conditions that might it risky to take the vaccine. I have been struggling with my sons health for years , he is 15 and has auto immune and severe allergies and actually has had worse health issues since he had one of his booster vaccine in 7th grade. He used to have a lot of had health issues when given him the flu shot. I am 52 and used to have the same sensitivity when younger and when receiving shots or vaccines. So it’s very stressful to make this kind of decisions. And even more stressful to get criticized because I am not vaccinated
