During a one-of-a-kind live event that will take place today (September 14), the independent UFO research team working for NASA will present their findings. The representatives from NASA, including the agency’s administrator, Bill Nelson, will join David Spergel, president of the Simons Foundation, who serves as the head of the UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) research group, to hold a briefing on the first report produced by the group.

In recent years, there has been a lot of talk in the federal government about unidentified flying objects and other types of unidentified flying objects. Two former aviators for the United States military provided evidence in July regarding experiences with strange objects that took place in airspace that was controlled by the United States. The independent UAP study team working for NASA has already had one public meeting, which took place on May 31. During the course of that discussion, the panel of specialists focused mostly on methods in which better data may be collected in order to assist in removing some of the mystique that surrounds UAP.
The majority of unidentified objects reported to AARO demonstrate mundane characteristics of balloons, [uncrewed] aerial systems, clutter, natural phenomena, or other readily explainable sources, stated Sean Kirkpatrick, the head of the Pentagon’s new All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office.

Back in 2022, the American space agency issued a mandate to a group of specialists to investigate data pertaining to UAP that were collected either in space or underwater and could not be readily identified. During the new live event, officials plan to issue a report that will provide proposals to NASA on ways to effectively capture and evaluate evidence that could assist with clarifying the nature and origin of UAP.
