Excessive Sweating: Effective Remedies That can Fight it!

Hyperhidrosis is the term used to describe abundant sweating, an inconvenient condition found in almost 3% of the planet’s population. The affected individuals are often confronted with embarrassing situations and anxiety because of excessive sweating and can lead to lower self-confidence, lack of socialization or even loss of work.

The most suspected areas of hyperhidrosis are subrassa, feet, palms, the area above the upper lip and between the legs. In some cases, sweating is only located on certain body parts, such as the head or hands, while others sweat across the entire body surface.

Good news is that there are currently many treatments for this problem, but you should be aware that excessive sweating may in most cases be a symptom of a hidden disorder such as infection, anxiety or hyperthyroidism, and not necessarily a disease in itself.

The cause of hyperhidrosis is quite complex. Scientists are of the opinion that hyperhidrosis occurs as a result of an interruption of information between hormones and the hypothalamus, a center in the brain that controls the nerves responsible for the activity of sweat glands.

The right diet can prevent excessive sweating

Like many other conditions, diet plays a very important role. If you transpirate more than normal, you should know that you need to avoid complex carbohydrates, opting instead for high-fiber cereals, the milk you consume should have as little fat and the amount of salt and spices must be drastically reduced .

It is also important to consume foods rich in calcium, to avoid those with a pronounced odor, such as onion or garlic, because they can give even more inspiration to sweating and drink as many liquids, preferably as water, at least 8 glasses per day to balance the body’s water level and keep body temperature constant.

Keep in mind that certain substances such as caffeine, Guarana and certain tea compounds, as well as the use of antidepressants, thyroid drugs or those for the treatment of colds can stimulate sweating.
Natural remedies are also a worthwhile support in the treatment of hyperhidrosis, because by their action they can help the nervous system to properly react, and thus the amount of sweat is much diminished. In fact, nature aids have been used successfully in traditional medicine for thousands of years.

Here are some of these:

Aluminum stone deodorant – This natural crystal extracted from Asian mines is extremely effective against perspiration and unpleasant odors and, above all, does not cover odor but prevents the development of bacteria responsible for its appearance. It does not have perfume composition, it is 100% natural and applies to problematic areas, wetting the stone beforehand. Such products can be found in any natural store, have convenient prices and have many advantages: they can be used for a long time, do not stain clothes, can be used on sensitive, irritated skin and soothe burns caused by prolonged exposure to sun.

Sodium bicarbonate – applied to troubled areas even after getting out of the shower, has a refreshing effect and, even if it does not prevent sweating, neutralizes the acids that give the unpleasant smell.

Apple cider vinegar – can be applied locally before going to bed or drinking, but it is recommended to be sweetened with honey because it does not taste very well. It has astringent effect and regular use for several days can significantly reduce the amount of sweat.

Drink daily sage tea with chamomile – in 2-3 weeks the results will be seen, say the people who have tried this alternative solution. Mix a teaspoon of dry or fresh sage with a teaspoonful of half a chamomile petal and add the contents in a pot with 200 milliliters of boiled water. Cover the container and leave for 10-15 minutes, then add a teaspoon of honey to soften the resulting tea.
Great care for sage, however, don’t consume it for more than a month because it can cause abundant contact or excessive bleeding following a minor injury.

Magnesium – Hyperhidrosis is often caused by magnesium deficiency, which is essential for the whole body. According to research, administering 400 milligrams of magnesium daily can help to control excessive sweating in just a week, so consult your doctor for proper prescription of supplements or foods rich in magnesium (green and colored vegetables, fruits , Seeds, nuts, milk, fish, soybeans etc.)

Burdock tincture – Burdock is a plant with a strong astringent effect and helps to purify blood and body fluids. It can be consumed in the form of tea, which however is rather bitter and has a slight laxative effect, or in the form of tincture applied to the areas affected by hyperhidrosis.

Other tricks to control perspiration are: daily non-perfume gourd or non-perfume soaps with antibacterial effect, cotton cloth, and avoidance of synthetic materials and footwear that are inadequate for temperatures that do not allow skin to breathe, avoid stress, and use antiperspirants based on Aluminum chloride that blocks perspiration.

With regard to the smell of perspiration, the famous Dr. Oz recommends eating pigeons or grass-dog as is traditionally called. This plant, specifically the chlorophyll of its composition, helps destroy bacteria and microbes that cause the unpleasant odor of sweat.
